
Ryan Chao
Executive Director
Ryan Chao has been Satellite Housing’s Executive Director since 2004 and previously served Satellite as its Director of Housing Development starting in 2001. During Ryan’s tenure with the organization, he has led Satellite’s rapid expansion and growth, initiating new affordable housing developments serving low-income seniors, families and individuals with special needs throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Ryan oversees all property management, resident services, financial management and affordable housing development activities for the organization and its staff of over 115 employees. He is responsible for the management of twenty-five affordable housing developments that provide housing to over 1,600 residents as well as the advancement of eight new projects currently in development.
Ryan has over sixteen years of community and economic development experience including past positions with the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, the Grand Central Partnership and Atlantic Bank of New York. Ryan holds a B.A. in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and a MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is a member of the board of directors of the Non-profit Housing Association of Northern California and Aging Services of California's Chief Executives of Multi-Asset Organizations.
Analisa Anthony
Director of Property Management
Specializing in multifamily HUD assisted developments, Tax Credit as well as other housing programs located throughout the San Francisco and Sacramento Area, Analisa Anthony's professional expertise consists of working with various property management companies in the for profit sector, providing management services to nonprofit housing owners and developers, mutual housing associations, cooperative housing and board’s of directors. Analisa educational and professional background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Holy Names University, California Broker’s License as well as achieving various property management designations.
Miriam Benavides
Director of Human Resources and Administration
Miriam Benavides, Director of Human Resources and Administration, has over eight years of experience in the Human Resources Management. Prior to joining Satellite, Ms. Benavides was the Manager of Human Resources for The Unity Council, a nonprofit community development organization, and its subsidiary, Peralta Service Corporation. Ms. Benavides is an experienced Human Resource professional, bringing to Satellite her extensive knowledge of State and Federal Employment Laws, specializing in Employee Relations, Recruitment and Retention, and Workers’ Compensation. Ms. Benavides is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Alameda County Employer Advisory Council.
Joyce Boyd
Director of Finance
Joyce Boyd, CPA, is Director of Finance
for Satellite Housing, Inc. She was previously Chief Financial
Officer of Eden Housing, Inc, an affordable housing developer
and management company. Prior to working in affordable housing
Ms Boyd was Financial Manager for Jobs for Homeless, Inc.,
a bay area nonprofit social service agency serving the homeless.
Ms Boyd spent ten years with a local CPA firm, Grant, Smith,
Vincent & Co that specialized
in nonprofit and governmental audits.
Dori Kojima
Director of Housing Development
Ms. Kojima has been with Satellite Housing
for over five years and currently is the director of housing development,
overseeing the development of Casa Montego II, rehabilitation of St. Andrew's Manor and St. Patrick's Terrace, Octavia Court, and
the various new communities in the pipeline. Before joining Satellite,
Dori received her Master of City Planning and Master of Public
Health degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.
Specializing in Housing and Community Development and Health
Policy and Management, Ms. Kojima joined Satellite with the goal
of increasing the supply of service-enriched housing for the
elderly and special needs populations.
Patricia Osage
Director of Resident Services
As the Director of Resident Services, Ms. Osage comes to the organization with over 12 years of experience in the Social Services field. She worked in the field of Domestic Violence both as an advocate and as a manager for many years; fine-tuning her skills in non-profit teamwork and leadership Patricia also spent several years as the Director of Support Services at Tenderloin Housing Clinic in San Francisco where she created a vibrant, expanded program for formerly homeless adults; In her current role, she’s working to enhance the Satellite Services Department so that all residents can be offered the maximum amount of opportunities to experience good health, happiness, and community involvement.
