Satellite Housing and Affordable Housing Associates are now Satellite Affordable Housing Associates
Happy New Year from SAHA!
We are pleased to announce that Satellite Housing and Affordable Housing Associates have joined forces to become Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA). We are proud to harness 66 years of combined experience and innovation to provide homes and services to low-income residents throughout the Bay Area. With 58 existing properties and 19 projects in development, SAHA will increase our impact as a compassionate community-based nonprofit.
Since July 10, 2012, we have been working together to create SAHA. We strongly believe that the combination of two healthy, well-respected organizations with similar missions, cultures, and values creates a more impactful nonprofit best suited to thrive in the future. Our board and senior management team represent the extraordinary expertise and dedication of both organizations. Under the leadership of Executive Director Susan Friedland and Board Chair Nina Marinkovich, SAHA will unite 170 skilled staff, combine strong portfolios, diversify lines of business, and increase funding opportunities for new developments.
SAHA’s main office is located at 1521 University Avenue in Berkeley, with an annex office four blocks away at 1250 Addison Street, Suite G and property-specific offices in 6 Bay Area counties. Please find our new contact information below.
Thank you for your support during this period of growth. Special thanks to our partners who have financially supported the creation of SAHA—Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), Enterprise Community Partners and the Charles Schwab Foundation. We look forward to sharing more about SAHA during the upcoming year.
